DID YOU KNOW?

Old Tom, the family horse, is still with us in the form of gloves. Bob Suderman is the caretaker.

Steve Seibel (son of Wallace and Dolly) traveled from Cornvallis, OR. He traveled the longest distance. According to Yahoo that is 1815.6 miles. Wendy Mccarty (Betty's daughter) and family "traveled" 1 1/2 blocks,

A NEWSLETTER IS BORN
The WALLPAPER has been on the drawing board since the 1990 reunion. At that time a newsletter was suggested as a means to stay in touch. The idea sounded great and a name for the letter was conceived. But that is as far as it went..

Fast forward to July 2005. The question: "Do we want another reunion?" was posed. A fourth generation Wall descendant, Bradley Hagen (great grandchild) said it well, "I enjoyed coming. Enjoyed being with family and being able to get our history - we're so caught up in our race for life. This (reunion) gave me a bit of a base and a hunger to stay in touch with Bob (Suderman) and Karen (Suderman Penner) and others, so we can share photos, information and things like that." Another response, "I learned a lot (about family) but still have questions...We need to branch out more and get the younger people involved or it will all be lost." The consensus for another reunion was positive but-more often than every fifteen yearsl

The importance of staying in touch was reiterated which rekindled the WALLPAPER idea. This time we (Betty and Bonnie-the Harder sisters) are going to carry forth beginning with this reunion recap. We haven't determined how often the "paper" will he published.

Right now we're thinking annually. It will depend on how newsy the Wall descendants become which is one way of saying we will need your help. For those who have access to internet the WALLPAPER will be posted on a website offered by Gene Seibel (son of Mary Seibel and the late Clarence Seibel.) The website is http://www.pad39a.com/wall.

Send us any pertinent information related to your family: births, weddings, landmark birthdays/anniversaries, deaths, opinions, ideas, question/answers and change in or a new address (This item is really imnortant.). Send anything which will keep the Wall family in touch and stay united. We'll do our best to compile the info and send it to you as THE WALLPAPER.

KAREN SHARES RESEARCH
"It is important to know who we are, so we know where we are going" This is from Karen Suderman Penner who has spent countless hours researching the Wall/Glied (Grandmother Clara was a Glied) genealogy beginning with Jacob and Marie (Peters) Wall, Abraham K. Wall's grandparents. Karen's research includes two trips to Russia researching in the Molotschna and Chortiza colonies, more specifically the village of Annenfeld where the Walls and Glieds lived before coming to America, She shared this information on Friday evening. We owe her a debt of gratitude for her interest and time in getting everyone "perched" correctly on the family tree. (see RESEARCH, p.3)
