I love Jesus and life and hopefully it shows! I'm energetic, spontaneous and adventurous. I like to spend time doing something productive and challenging, but I also realize the importance of taking time to relax. My philosophy is that we should treat others the way we want to be treated. Most of the time I have an optimistic attitude and try to find the good in everything.
I like playing raquetball, taking walks and spending time with family. I like to be creative and make items for my home and for other people. Some women would prefer clothes, jewelry or flowers for a special occasion..I say, "Power Tools Please!" :o) |
I have a private pilot's license and enjoy flying when my budget allows. My dream job..? Hmmmm...let's see...That would probably be: a fighter pilot! :-)  |
  For several years I drove a race car and that was very exciting! In 1985 I went to Germany and it was a wonderful experience! I really like their idea of NO Maximum Speed limit!!  |
 
God has blessed me with a son who is a hospital corpsman in the US Navy, a married daughter, 4 grandsons and a granddaughter! Many people tell me I look too young to be a grandma and when I am with my daughter they think we are sisters. I'm not sure it's true, but it's nice to hear. I enjoy attending, Enjoy Church. God continues to bless my life even though I don't deserve it! It's so comforting that God knows the desires of our hearts and hears us when we pray! How Exciting!!

I am an avid collector of Pillsbury Doughboys and Jeff Gordon NASCAR memorabilia, and have been known to sell a few things on Ebay. I also enjoy making wedding cakes! |

I was married to Bob in 1985. We had a great marriage that lasted for 11 years. To my surprise he decided that he wanted a divorce. Being rejected by someone that you planned on spending the rest of your life with was devastating. Letting go was not easy, but I knew that God was in charge and that He had a plan. I reminded myself that God can’t bless us in the future if we continue living in the past.
I have been divorced for 6 years. God has blessed me with so many wonderful friends and a loving, supportive family. I wanted a special person in my life to share these blessings with. I knew that God would put that special person in my life someday. I thought I was ready, but God showed me daily that I was not! I had to be patient and wait for God’s perfect timing. I asked God to do whatever He needed to in me to prepare me for that special person and that He would also prepare that special person for me. I think it’s important to wait for God, but He expects us to do our part too. I belonged to the singles group at our church and it seemed that the life partner God had for me was not within my reach. I prayed that He would lead me to him. It was hard not to get discouraged, but I reminded myself that God is faithful and that He wants to give us the desires of our hearts. I had been divorced for 5 years when I took a step of faith and joined an internet dating site called the Christian Cafe, something I thought I would never do! You hear so many horror stories about internet dating sites.
I sent him a short message telling him about my love for flying too. He responded immediately. After his first message I felt in my heart that there was something very special about him. We began corresponding and right away it seemed that I already knew him, which I realized was not possible. I think that it was because God had been preparing me all along for Captain Robbie, just as I had prayed that He would.

I spent 9 months talking to many people on Christian Cafe.com, but it seemed that my life mate was not there. God then lead me to Dream Mates.com. Little did I know how that step would change my life forever! I spent a few weeks corresponding with several people, but found no compatible match. God spoke to me and said that I was not spending enough time with Him. I knew that I needed to change my focus. So...He allowed me to do one more search......and I saw the words "Come Fly with Me" ! I opened up the profile of "Captain Robbie" that he had just posted. Since this was my final search, if he had posted his profile a day later...we never would have met!! Coincidence? I think not!
Over the past several months Captain Robbie and I have spent time together sharing our families, our love for flying, our love for God and creating memories that will last forever. There are no words that can describe how thankful I am to God for bringing Captain Robbie into my life!
