Cruisin'

Once again, the opportunity arose to do what neither of had done before. Blue water, Crusin', Mexico, and flying in one great package. First it was off to Mobile, AL in good old Cherokee 29J. A day of exploration, a night in the Kate Shepard House Bed and Breakfast, and we were off in a taxi to the Cruise Terminal.

On the deck of the Carvnival ship "Holiday"

we head out through Mobile Bay

Finding our way around the bowels of the ship

to our home for the cruise, Cabin E89

Mobile recedes behind us

as the pelicans escort us out to sea

Past the oil rigs

past the shrimp boats

Past the barges

and past the lighthouse.

The water turns blue

and dinner is awesome

The cabin stewards serve and entertain

and there's never a shortage of food

There's fresh sea air

and more entertainment

After a night and day at sea, we pull into Cozumel

and go ashore

We explore remote beaches

in our Mexican buggy

We snorkel

and see the local sights

We slip away from paradise

and head back north

A day and a night back to Mobile

and we leave her like we found her..
